What/who is Kirsty Morison Ceramics?
Kirsty Morison is a Wellington-based ceramics artist who offers handmade pottery, one-off art pieces, and pottery classes for groups, couples or individuals. Kirsty creates functional and sculptural works, often inspired by New Zealand landscapes and textures. Kirsty also does commissions.
Where is the studio located?
The studio is based in Eastbourne, Wellington, New Zealand. It is a private studio, so contact Kirsty for ceramics viewing outside of pottery class times.
How do I book a pottery class?
You can book a pottery class by visiting the Workshops page. Choose your preferred session and follow the steps to book online.
Do I need any experience to attend a pottery class?
Not at all — Kirsty’s pottery classes are beginner-friendly and designed to be fun, relaxed, and hands-on. All materials and tools are provided.
What kinds of workshops/classes does Kirsty offer?
Workshops vary from hand-building techniques and surface decoration to themed sessions for private events, birthdays, or team building days. Group sizes are small for personal attention.
Can I book a private class or group event?
Yes, private workshops can be arranged for individuals, small groups, or corporate bookings. Use the Contact page to enquire, or email kirstymorison@gmail.com.
Can I cancel the class once I’ve booked if something comes up?
Kirsty knows circumstances change and life gets in the way sometimes, so if you need to cancel your class please contact Kirsty as soon as possible. Kirsty also has a refund policy with cancellation or refund terms and conditions , so be sure to read it before you book a pottery class.
Where are the pottery classes held?
All workshops/classes are held in my studio at 6 Maire Street, Eastbourne, Lower Hutt, Wellington.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes! Gift vouchers are available for both pottery purchases and workshops. They're a great present for birthdays, weddings, or anyone keen to try ceramics.
Can I buy ceramics online?
Yes! You can browse and purchase selected pieces through the Shop page on the website. Stock updates regularly with new handmade works.
When will my online order be shipped?
Orders are usually packed and shipped within 3–5 business days. Shipping is available across New Zealand. For urgent requests or international shipping, contact Kirsty directly.
Are the ceramics dishwasher or microwave safe?
Most pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe, unless noted otherwise in the product description. As each piece is handmade, care instructions may vary slightly.
