Mug Building & Wheel Throwing Workshop : Sunday 26th July 1.30pm-4.00pm

$150.00

Hand-build a Mug & Throw a dish on the Wheel during this 2-2.5 hour workshop which includes:

An introduction and opportunity to experiment with your creative process using materials provided e.g.stamps, plants, lace doilies, buttons (or treasured items of your own you may wish to bring along to create a lasting memory/impression in clay) to make textures and patterns on your clay sample before applying to your template.

Making one hand-built mug, chosen from a selection of sizes prior to the workshop commencing. Clay slab template will be prepped ready for you to decorate. Assistance with construction techniques in building your handmade item.

A wheel throwing demonstration and experience for all workshop attendees - with the aim of making one small dish that will be fired and glazed by Kirsty.

You’ll finish with a studio and kiln workshop tour covering the process of producing a finished ceramic piece from start to finish.

$150 per attendee

This workshop per head price is for 6-8 people. (However if you wish to book for a smaller group please get in touch to negotiate a date and I can quote for a smaller workshop at a future date.)

Chilled water will be provided. Feel free to bring additional BYO food & beverages customising your imbibing experience during the workshop.

The cost of my workshops reflect the value of this personalised experience, in addition to the time commitment pre and post-workshop for clay prep, finishing, glazing & 2 x firings. You will produce 1-3 items depending on the workshop you choose. These will be finished, glazed and fired twice after your workshop by me and you'll be notified when they are ready for you to take home and treasure.

The wait time for collection of your pieces can differ from 3-5 weeks approximately, depending on where your workshop falls in my firing schedule and how many bookings I have to fill the kiln. I will email you when the processing and double firing of your pieces is complete.

Directions: 6 Maire Street, Eastbourne, Lower Hutt

Full payment is required to secure date at time of booking.
